How it works
Three steps, then Techie runs the program on your screen.
Install the Desk client
A small program for your Windows PC. Installing takes two minutes, and that is the only part that needs admin rights.
Confirm the code in Techat
The client shows a code that you confirm once in Techat. From then on the PC belongs to your account and to no other.
Say what should happen in Techie Chat
“On my PC ...” is enough. Techie sees the screen, proposes the next step and waits for your OK.
Safety
An assistant on your PC needs stricter rules than a chat. Here they are.
Confirmation for every action
Every click and every entry appears in the chat before it happens. Without your OK nothing moves.
Emergency stop on the PC
Ctrl + Alt + Pause cuts the connection instantly, right on the device. The PC needs no network for that.
A log of every step
What Techie saw and did is in the log with a timestamp. Still traceable weeks later.
Screenshots deleted after one hour
The images stay for one hour, then they are gone. The log keeps the text, never the picture.
Local AI model as an option
On request Desk works with the local model on our servers in the EU alone.

What does my PC need?

Can Techie do anything I cannot see?
No. Every action appears in the chat first and waits for your OK. Only when you grant a standing approval do the steps of that routine run without individual confirmation, and those are in the log as well.
What happens to the screenshots?
They stay for one hour, then they are deleted. The log keeps what Techie did, not the picture.
Does this work without a cloud model?
